Food Forward will be partnering with The Jewish Federation this year during their FED UP WITH HUNGER initiative across LA. They have some innovative and exciting events coming up which cross many of LA’s diverse neighborhoods and demographics. Up this Thursday at Para Los Ninos, an amazing school on the edge of downtown will be their cross-cultural Sukkot Event:
On Thursday 10/8 at 5 pm, we are partnering with Para Los Niños Charter Elementary School downtown for a once-in-a-lifetime dinner that will bring together a diverse collection of communities never before seen together under a sukkah. We will celebrate the holiday and our commitment to end hunger with friends in the Jewish community, the Latino community, the fourth graders of Para Los Niños charter school and their families, fourth graders from the Heschel Day School in Northridge and their families, dignitaries of every description and special guests from Chrysalis – a vital program that helps homeless men and women get back on their feet. This event promises to be a very special, high-profile event and we hope you can be there to share in it with us.
